About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan and conduct group therapy sessions and patient intake assessments based on clinic patient needs and caseload
- Provide evidence-based therapy and occasional individual counseling sessions
- Assist with treatment planning and review progress toward treatment-plan goals
- Coordinate patient care with the onsite multidisciplinary team
- Document treatment data comprehensively and promptly in the electronic patient health record
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and company compliance requirements
- Attend required onsite staff meetings, supervision, multidisciplinary team meetings, and quarterly in-service sessions
- Provide training, onboarding, and mentorship support for new-hire counselors within the site or adjacent clinics
- Support patients recovering from substance use disorders
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1+ year experience as Counselor I or other relevant experience
- Active clinical licensure consistent with state-level regulatory requirements, at minimum dependently licensed
- At minimum Master’s Degree, consistent with state-level regulation and requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly empathetic and compassionate
- Competent at working with a diverse population of colleagues and patients
- Able to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
- Technologically capable and comfortable operating in multiple systems for communication and documentation
- Familiarity with MS Office software (Outlook, Teams, Word, etc.) preferred
- Familiarity with HIPAA and 42-CFR Part 2 desired
- Prior experience with harm reduction a plus
- Commitment to compliance, integrity, work standards, and regulatory requirements
