About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as first point of contact for patient inquiries and customer service
  • Assist with problem solving patient issues
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments
  • Collect point-of-service payments, including patient copays and other patient financial responsibility
  • Communicate with clinic teams and central support regarding appointments and follow-up needs
  • Attend required meetings and huddles and collaborate within the clinic team
  • Maintain accurate new and current patient accounts, including insurance and billing information
  • Operate communication and documentation systems while following HIPAA, 42-CFR Part 2, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of prior front desk experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service-centric approach
  • Empathy and compassion for supporting patients’ recovery journeys
  • Ability to work with diverse colleagues and patients
  • Problem-solving ability and sense of urgency
  • Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
  • Adaptability in a dynamic work environment
  • Technological capability across multiple communication and documentation systems
  • Familiarity with MS Office software (Outlook, Teams, Word, etc.) preferred
  • Ability to operate with integrity and comply with work standards and regulatory requirements
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and 42-CFR Part 2 desired
