About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Administer and dispense medication and injections according to accepted nursing practice guidance
Manage patient medication preselection and drug administration
Perform initial inductions and provide medical services as needed
Conduct assessments and monitor vital signs for dose changes
Educate patients regarding treatment, health, and safety policies
Schedule appointments and document no-shows in the system
Attend required on-site staff and multidisciplinary team meetings
Sign and process physician orders; enter notes and flags in the EMR
Maintain, monitor, and reconcile medication inventory
Follow HIPAA and other regulatory and company compliance requirements
Complete documentation using the designated EMR

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in a drug/alcohol or psychiatric setting
Required: Associates Degree in Nursing, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with State Medication Administration Certification
Required state Licensed Practical Nursing License
Familiarity with HIPAA 42-CFR Part 2 desired
Prior experience with harm reduction a plus
Ability to administer medications and injections
Experience conducting patient assessments and monitoring vital signs
Competence using EMR and MS Office Suite
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
High empathy and compassion when supporting patients
Ability to comply with regulatory, HIPAA, and company requirements
