About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan and conduct group therapy sessions and patient intake assessments based on the needs of the clinic’s patient population and caseload, aligned with scientific best-practice guidelines.
  • Demonstrate competency for individual counseling, offering occasional individual counselor sessions as appropriate.
  • Assist with treatment planning and reviewing progress towards treatment plan goals.
  • Coordinate patient care with the onsite multidisciplinary team.
  • Timely and comprehensively document all necessary treatment data into the electronic patient health record.
  • Ensure adherence to all necessary regulatory and company compliance requirements.
  • Attends required meetings including but not limited to all on-site staff meetings, supervision, multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Attend required meetings including individual and group supervision, multidisciplinary team meeting, and quarterly in-service.
  • Occasional training/onboarding support for new hire Counselor I.
  • Training, onboarding, and mentorship support for new hire counselors within the site or adjacent clinics.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1+ year experience as Counselor I or other relevant experience
  • 2+ years’ experience in relevant field
  • Consistent with state-level regulation and requirements, at minimum Master’s Degree
  • Active clinical licensure consistent with state-level regulatory requirements, at minimum dependently licensed
  • Familiarity with MS Office software (Outlook, Teams, Word, etc.) preferred.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and 42-CFR Part 2 desired
  • Prior experience with harm reduction a plus
