About the role
- Provide leadership, vision, and direction for the psychiatric line of service.
- Oversee the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for patients.
- Develop and implement treatment protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with other medical professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and psychotherapy services.
- Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and guidance to psychiatric staff.
- Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and performance evaluation of psychiatric personnel.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in addiction medicine and psychiatric research.
- Collaborate with community organizations and regulatory bodies.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Current, unrestricted medical license to practice.
- Board certification in psychiatry
- Board certification in addiction psychiatry or addiction medicine (preferred)
- Proven experience in addiction medicine and psychiatric care, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of evidence-based practices, treatment modalities, and medications
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards
