About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Planning, scheduling, coordinating, and managing a wide variety of repair projects involving the construction, rehabilitation, and restoration of OSP facilities
  • Overseeing the OSP repair process from conceptualization to completion including interfacing with field technicians, collaborating with field supervisors, and managing work performed by contract vendors and internal repair teams
  • Monitoring and managing the quality completion of work and resolution of issues while reporting on the progress of multiple projects and updating internal tracking systems
  • Creating, approving, tracking, and managing all CMS requests
  • Operating as the single point of contact for all plant damage and emergency dispatch of internal and external repair teams during normal operations hours
  • Assessing damage situations, engaging contract vendors, and providing CMS documentation to coordinate and monitor completion of repair activity
  • Driving contract vendors performance to align with Brightspeed’s standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of industry experience and knowledge in the aspects of Engineering, ISP and OSP construction, and contract policies and procedures or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to perform deep-dive operational and financial analyses using tools such as Excel, Power BI, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.
  • Flexibility to travel across operational footprint as much as 30%-40%
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction practices and procedures, including underground, buried and aerial construction of copper and fiber facilities.
  • Previous experience with supervision of projects, or project management, reading blueprints and schematics, and experience and knowledge of building codes and relevant laws to ensure the project is in compliance with building standards and regulations
  • The ability to perform in high-pressure, deadline driven environments
