About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead infrastructure design, implementation, and ongoing management across a globally distributed, fully remote organization
Oversee a broad portfolio of SaaS solutions spanning collaboration, productivity, security, endpoint management, and identity
Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and documentation that scale with the organization
Mentor and develop a geographically distributed IT team spanning the Philippines, Ukraine, and the United States
Serve as a critical operational partner to the VP of Security
Own the execution of compliance-related controls, evidence collection, and audit readiness activities in support of Brightfin’s ISO 27001 and SOC 2 certifications
Maintain rigorous SaaS governance practices — including access reviews, configuration baselines, and third-party risk assessments
Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Legal, Finance, and Customer Success to operationalize security and compliance requirements
Provide consultative technical leadership to the DevOps function, guiding infrastructure design, reliability strategy, and developer experience
Serve as a bridge between IT Operations and Engineering.

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of progressive IT experience, including leading teams and managing complex infrastructure
Proven experience leading IT operations functions in a SaaS or cloud-native technology company serving enterprise-scale customers or operating enterprise-grade environments
Hands-on experience executing against ISO 27001 and/or SOC 2 compliance programs — including controls management, audit preparation, and evidence collection
Experience managing a complex SaaS portfolio, including vendor governance, access management, and third-party risk
Strong track record of building and leading high-performing, service-oriented teams
Meaningful experience with DevOps concepts and the ability to engage credibly with engineering teams
A genuine passion for AI and automation — and the practical experience to apply them to real operational problems
Excellent communication skills — equally comfortable presenting to executives and working in the weeds with technical teams
A leadership style that develops people, delegates effectively, and builds organizational capability
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire distributed, cross-cultural teams across multiple time zones.
