Key responsibilities & impact
  • Transforming safeguarding, investigational, compliance and regulatory data into actionable insights that support risk reduction, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement
  • Developing reporting, dashboards, forecasting and analytical models that enable leaders to identify emerging trends, monitor performance and make evidence-based decisions
  • Supporting forecasting, organisation-wide learning and continuous improvement
  • Providing risk-based monitoring and quality assurance oversight to strengthen safeguarding practice, compliance and outcomes
  • Analyzing safeguarding, compliance and operational data to identify trends, patterns, anomalies and emerging risks
  • Providing insight into safeguarding activity, incident themes, regulatory performance and organisational risk indicators
  • Building dashboards and reporting frameworks that provide visibility of key safeguarding KPIs and performance measures
  • Generating actionable insights and recommendations that support safeguarding improvements and risk mitigation
  • Conducting deep-dive investigations into safeguarding themes, identifying root causes and opportunities for intervention
  • Developing forecasting and predictive insight models to anticipate safeguarding trends, workload demand and organisational risks
  • Monitoring safeguarding performance indicators and providing early warning intelligence on emerging concerns
  • Supporting the evaluation of safeguarding initiatives, interventions and improvement activities through data-led analysis
  • Using data and insight to inform resource planning, prioritisation and strategic decision making
  • Building and maintaining Power BI dashboards and automated reporting solutions for safeguarding metrics
  • Producing accurate, timely and insightful reports for safeguarding leaders, operational teams and executive stakeholders
  • Ensuring reporting is accessible, meaningful and supports action at local, regional and organisational levels
  • Translating complex data into clear visualisations and compelling narratives for non-technical audiences
  • Act as the data steward for safeguarding reporting and analytics
  • Ensuring safeguarding data is accurate, consistent and reliable across systems and reporting platforms
  • Collaborating with safeguarding, operational, people and compliance teams to understand business challenges and develop analytical solutions
  • Supporting senior leaders with insight-led recommendations and evidence for strategic decisions
  • Presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels
  • Enabling organisational learning by identifying trends and sharing insights that improve safeguarding capability and outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong proficiency with Power BI, including data modelling, visualisation and dashboard development
  • Advanced Excel capability
  • Experience analysing large and complex datasets from multiple sources
  • Experience developing reporting frameworks, KPI dashboards and management information
  • Knowledge of SQL or other data querying tools desirable
  • Understanding of data governance, quality assurance and reporting best practice
  • Ability to translate business questions into analytical approaches and meaningful insights
  • Strong trend analysis, forecasting and problem-solving capability
  • Experience presenting complex information in a simple, engaging and actionable way
  • Strong data visualisation and storytelling skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity
  • Experience within early years, education, childcare, healthcare or other regulated safeguarding environments (Desired)
  • Experience of working with safeguarding case data or compliance/audit frameworks (Desired)
  • Knowledge of relevant safeguarding legislation, standards or inspection frameworks (Desired)
  • Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g. Data Analytics, Social Care, Business or similar) – Desirable
  • Relevant professional qualification in data analysis, safeguarding or risk management – Desirable
