About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Documentation & Optimisation (First 3 months) Complete migration of remaining department reports (Finance, Credit, Distribution, Marketing)
- Create and maintain a comprehensive data dictionary and standard views documentation (Bronze/Silver/Gold layers)
- Document all existing Power BI reports with clear business logic and data lineage
- Build and maintain a "standard views sheet" documenting all reusable data assets and their business definitions
- Optimise and standardise reporting processes across all departments
- Building New Capabilities (Ongoing) Design and specify new reports and dashboards to support product expansion and business growth
- Maintain the standard views documentation, ensuring all new data assets are properly catalogued
- Define requirements for self-service analytics that empower business users
- Partner with FP&A to develop forward-looking analytics and forecasting capabilities
- Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments for new data initiatives
- Translate complex financial and lending requirements into clear technical specifications
- Validate data quality and business logic across all reporting deliverables
- Champion data governance standards and maintain single source of truth documentation
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3–5 years of Business Analysis experience within Lending, with a proven ability to manage stakeholders ranging from technical squads to executive leadership.
- Advanced SQL skills (complex queries and optimisation) and a solid grasp of ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing concepts (dimensional modelling).
- Act as the primary translator between business needs and technical execution, converting high-level "whys" into structured technical documentation.
- Lead the charge on data migration and reporting transformations, ensuring data integrity and quality are maintained throughout the lifecycle.
- Working knowledge of Power BI (DAX and data modelling) and a strong understanding of relational database structures.
