About the role
- Oversee and drive the performance of the state BDM team, ensuring alignment with national objectives.
- Develop and execute state-level business plans, growth strategies, and market expansion initiatives in collaboration with aggregator state BDMs, supporting consistent delivery against national aggregator priorities.
- Monitor market conditions, competitor activity, and regulatory changes, adapting strategies to maintain competitive advantage.
- Represent Bridgit in the state, strengthening brand reputation, fostering industry relationships, and building close alignment with aggregator state teams to support broader national strategy.
- Lead, coach, and mentor BDMs to build capability, enhance sales effectiveness, and support their professional growth through Develop and retain top talent while driving disciplined pipeline management to ensure team performance and growth.
- Foster a culture of compliance, accountability, and client service excellence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of mortgage brokers, fostering trust and long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate with aggregator partners to maximize opportunities and ensure alignment on mutual goals.
- Provide expert guidance on loan scenarios and lending structures, acting as a trusted advisor to brokers.
- Represent Bridgit at broker and aggregator functions, showcasing our value proposition and expanding our network.
- Drive sales and meet state-wide targets, focusing on providing exceptional customer service.
- Track and report to leadership on state performance, sales forecasts, and market trends.
Requirements
- Demonstrated background in residential mortgage lending and sales, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in the broker industry.
- Strong understanding of mortgage products, credit criteria, and lending structures.
- A relationship-first mindset with the ability to build and nurture meaningful partnerships.
- A proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team, fostering a collaborative and goal-oriented culture.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in group presentations.
- Collaborative and solutions-focused, with strong attention to detail and a drive to deliver outcomes.
- Ability to work autonomously, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- A current non-restrictive Australian Driver’s License is required.
