Foster technical excellence, continuous learning, and innovation
Drive software development best practices, including code reviews, testing, and CI/CD pipelines
Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions in an agile environment
Mentor and develop engineers
Lead and manage a software engineering team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
Align with architecture and platform teams on technical strategies and implementation
Promote cross-functional collaboration
Monitor KPIs and metrics and report monthly to leadership
Track emerging technologies and integrate relevant innovations into the company’s IT infrastructure
Participate in software solution design and architecture
Ensure code efficiency, quality, and adherence to best practices
Work with developers, stakeholders, and clients to understand requirements and deliver solutions
Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting assistance
Create and maintain software development lifecycle documentation
Use generative AI tools such as Claude, Copilot, or ChatGPT to improve productivity and outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of software development experience, including at least 3 years in a human capital leadership role
3+ years of experience working with COBOL
Strong background building and maintaining SaaS applications at scale
Hands-on experience with Azure and modern development practices
Familiarity with version control systems; Git preferred
Experience with Agile methodologies; Kanban preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to balance technical leadership with business priorities and team dynamics
