About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead planning and execution of BEAM's signature fundraising and cultivation events
- Manage donor engagement events such as Visiting Days, friendraisers, small-group conversations, corporate-hosted events
- Develop event timelines, manage logistics, oversee vendors and budgets, coordinate invitations and registration
- Identify, cultivate, steward, and grow relationships with select corporate partners and sponsors
- Support sponsorship strategy and execution for BEAM events
- Coordinate corporate engagement opportunities, including volunteer experiences, field trips, employee engagement activities, and site visits
- Support the management and engagement of BEAM's New York and Los Angeles Advisory Boards
- Coordinate board and advisory board meetings, communications, events, and follow-up activities
- Contribute to Advancement Team strategy and planning discussions
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years direct advancement experience is highly preferred, with a focus on events
- Experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor relations, or advancement
- Experience planning and executing events, including fundraising events
- Experience with CRM systems (experience with Salesforce a plus)
