Security Officer

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Patrolling Security officers patrol the university campus by foot, golf cart, or in a patrol unit.
- Security Officers are responsible for the safety of the university community, including students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
- Responding to reports of incidents, such as suspicious activity or security violations.
- Enforcing campus rules and regulations, such as parking, smoking, and alcohol and drug use.
- May direct traffic and parking.
- Providing crowd control or other security services for special events.
- Acting as a liaison between the university and local law enforcement.
- Performing custodial and maintenance duties, providing information and directions, and maintaining records.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years in Law Enforcement or Security experience preferred.
- Post-Certified highly preferred.
