About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Educate physicians and clinical staff on Breg's orthopedic bracing and supply program, product options, equipment use, and specialized applications
- Fit patients with orthopedic soft goods and functional bracing, providing instructions on use and care
- Deliver patient service and timely follow-up
- Coordinate orthopedic bracing product logistics, replenishment, inventory transfers, and reconciliation
- Remove and process expired, damaged, or unsellable products
- Support customer ordering, product returns, order fulfillment, and delivery updates
- Maintain product displays, storage areas, and inventory spaces to operational standards
- Provide onsite support for product recalls, audits, and field communication initiatives
- Complete inventory counts and support reconciliation and compliance
- Prepare, compile, and submit insurance billing documentation
- Review pending claims, retrieve missing information, identify documentation deficiencies, and use Power BI, Breg Vision, and Breg Claims System (BCS)
- Obtain pre-authorization and collect applicable co-insurances, deductibles, and cash-pay amounts
- Coordinate claim denial and additional-information documentation with internal departments
- Follow Breg policies, SOPs, HIPAA, FDA requirements, and other healthcare regulations
- Collaborate with Solution Team, Sales, and Field Operations to resolve account issues and improve service efficiency
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly management and account reports, analyzing trends and improvement opportunities
- Promote Breg's culture and demonstrate accountability through the 'See it, Own it, Solve it, and Do it' framework
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate's degree in a healthcare-related field, completion of an approved healthcare certification or certificate program, or equivalent combination of relevant education and hands-on experience in orthotics, athletic training, sports medicine, DME, or patient care required
- Applicable certification or licensure such as ABC Certified Fitter-orthotics (CFo), BOC, Athletic Training licensure, or Orthopaedic Technologist Certification preferred
- Familiarity with workflows and procedures in orthopedic clinics or physician offices preferred
- Knowledge of orthopedic bracing and supply products and applicable utilization procedures preferred
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Ability to engage with patients and provide excellent customer service in escalated situations
- Computer proficiency with web browsers/internet search, MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
- Ability to learn new software and systems
- Ability to plan, execute, control, and deliver
