About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Call on accounts and cover daily routes by creating an established and efficient routing pattern
- Analyze the entire account base, identify opportunities, complete surveys, and ensure national account compliance
- Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations covering new products, placements, resets, drink and wine lists, and promotions
- Maintain product levels by taking inventory and restocking shelves where legally permissible
- Educate account staff through priority-brand training seminars
- Manage customer account receivables by processing credits and returns and communicating about aged receivables
- Service accounts by delivering products in extenuating circumstances and handling or escalating customer issues and complaints
- Achieve sales, merchandising, distribution, volume, and activity objectives
- Pre-plan strategies using pricing, product programming, and historical account purchase information
- Monitor inventory and out-of-stock situations and alert management to demand fluctuations
- Maintain account standards and maximize brand visibility using current point-of-sale materials
- Collect and deliver checks or other remittances where legally permissible
- Develop opening orders for new accounts with the Field Sales Manager
- Participate in supplier sales calls and sales blitzes
- Conduct safe and responsible interactions with the public while handling beverage alcohol products
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or equivalent training and work experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Sales
- Basic PC skills using MS Office and other computer programs, including presentation software
- Results-oriented professionalism with verbal and written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion
- Customer service skills
- Ability to multitask, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail, and meet deadlines
- Analytic and reporting skills
- Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume team environment
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must have reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance
- Ability to communicate and operate a computer and telephone
- Ability to reach overhead, squat, and bend
- Ability to carry and lift 45–65 pounds
