About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop strategies for product offerings, capabilities, features, and new account acquisition to drive growth of assigned credit card portfolios
  • Support and nurture brand partner relationships to drive growth, retention, and portfolio gains
  • Collaborate with and indirectly lead cross-functional matrix teams to deliver acquisition and product strategies
  • Use data from matrix partners to make portfolio decisions and align strategies with business goals
  • Resolve multifaceted acquisition- and product-related issues and remove internal roadblocks
  • Set objectives, negotiate outcomes, and collaborate with Credit Management, Field, Portfolio Analytics, Marketing, digital, capabilities, technology, operations, and fraud teams
  • Initiate or partner on resolutions to complex problems affecting multiple teams or the organization
  • Identify portfolio acquisition needs and request annual/quarterly plans from MCOE
  • Align acquisition plans with P&L and long-term plans; present plans and gain client approval
  • Share strategy briefs and deadlines, review campaign results and recommendations with brand partners
  • Assess and prioritize capabilities and new capability turn-on based on business value
  • Build recommendation cases for brand partners and ensure appropriate product mix
  • Lead complex analytics and integrate data from multiple sources to predict performance and guide strategy
  • Drive Value Proposition strategy, consult MCOE, coordinate ECM and matrix partners, and gain brand alignment
  • Lead acquisition and new-account forecasts and ensure alignment with strategic goals and P&L impact
  • Present to C-suite and travel periodically to brand partner offices and events

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • 10–13 years of experience in Account Management, Sales, Finance, Product Management, Project Management, Marketing, or credit card portfolio management
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Marketing preferred
  • Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional initiatives in a highly matrixed environment
  • Ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority
  • Experience developing or executing acquisition, product, and growth strategies for consumer credit card portfolios within a financial services organization
  • Skills in expense management, long-term planning, marketing, financial acumen, account management, project management, and portfolio management strategies
  • Must be authorized to work full-time in the United States without current or future sponsorship
  • F-1 student visa holders cannot be employed
  • Ability to travel up to 10% quarterly
  • Ability to work outside standard business hours when required
  • Ability to perform essential job functions and meet physical, mental, and work-environment requirements
