About the role
- Recruit and enroll Fellows (students) into the Braven Accelerator course to meet semester and annual goals
- Develop vision, strategy, and plans to effectively enroll students each semester
- Use Salesforce and Google Suites to manage recruitment data, operations, and pipelines
- Analyze recruitment data weekly to inform recruiting strategy
- Organize and support recruitment presentations and materials
- Host recruitment events to source prospective students
- Recruit and manage a team of student interns and Braven Student Ambassadors
- Support the student-led Braven Nation student organization on campus
- Provide design input and feedback to External Affairs on marketing materials
- Collect and share compelling stories with Communications and External Affairs teams
- Support the Social Media and Marketing Committee and develop social media recruitment strategy
- Cultivate and manage key stakeholders such as university staff, alumni, employer and community partners
- Assess strategies using quantitative, qualitative, and anecdotal data and present findings to stakeholders
- Attend meetings and maintain relationships with HEP student organizations and campus partners (career services, student affairs)
- Participate in individual annual and quarterly planning and all-team events
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and manage part-time student interns
- Recruit and train student volunteers (Braven Ambassadors)
- Report to the Senior Director, New Jersey and collaborate with Central and Regional recruitment teams and Rutgers-Newark team
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree
- Work Experience: At least 1 year of experience with a track record of success in recruitment and/or marketing
- Preferred: At least 1 year of experience in the non-profit field
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Slack, Salesforce, Jira, Canva
- Ability to quickly build positive working relationships and identify strategically important relationships
- Excellent communication, facilitation and public speaking skills
- Experience coaching and mentoring students in career development
- Experience managing and developing people, particularly managing through others
- Proven ability to create, operationalize, and manage project plans, meeting milestones and deadlines
- Track record of using data and metrics to drive decisions and measure performance
- High degree of flexibility and adaptability; comfortable with ambiguity
- Familiarity with social media marketing techniques for college students
- Exemplification of Braven’s core values
- Experiences that have informed your belief in Braven’s mission and prepared you to work with, or for, Braven’s student Fellow population
- Ability to work in-person in Newark, NJ at least 3 days per week (Tues, Wed, Thurs)
- Work on HEP’s campus additional days outside of the required 3 days during peak recruitment seasons, in-person class, and other key recruitment events
- Travel to 3-5 events per semester in the surrounding Newark Area
- Ability to attend 3-5 events during the weekend per semester
- Physical requirements include lifting and carrying up to 20-50 pounds for various recruitment events
- Authorized to work in the U.S.; Braven does not offer employment visa sponsorship
