About the role
- Develop and implement a comprehensive department / business unit strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
- Ensure communication and engagement of strategic direction and goals with key groups.
- Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders for department / business unit.
- Manage a team of professionals.
- Provide regular reports and updates on the effectiveness of department / business unit efforts.
- Accountable for the overall performance of the office’s operational, client and technical goals, for personnel that report in through the Engineering and Testing and Drilling divisions.
- Objectively evaluating employee performance and establishing and clarifying goals for staff.
Requirements
- bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with experience in geotechnical and construction materials testing required
- Texas PE preferred, or ability to obtain registration through reciprocity within 3 months
- Five years of progressive related professional experience, including at least two years of leadership experience
- Driver’s license
- Microsoft Office proficiency
