About the role

  • Responsible for monthly IFRS closings, as well as analyzing and explaining results.
  • Communicate to the relevant areas/forums the new method of result measurement.
  • Coordinate with the U.S. shareholder and the IFRS software provider to ensure cash flows and IFRS 17 results are generated correctly (communication in English).
  • Analyze dashboards to validate in-force balances, cash flows and IFRS 17 results.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation, and verify calculations of cash flows and IFRS 17 to ensure the accuracy of results presented to external clients.
  • Serve internal and external clients by providing technical guidance to clarify questions and support the needs of the business areas.
  • Work with the technology team to implement/maintain processes in an automated way.
  • Support calculations, models and results analysis: Liability Adequacy Test (LAT), ALM, Risk Capitals and ORSA.
  • Support the generation of databases to underpin projections for TAP, ALM, US GAAP and IFRS 17.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Economics or Statistics.
  • Experience in technical actuarial areas or investments at life insurance companies, private pension entities or Big Four consultancies.
  • Strong logical reasoning and highly analytical mindset.
  • Postgraduate degree or Master's in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or Actuarial Science.
  • Solid knowledge of the private pension market, its products and trends.
  • Thorough understanding of current pension legislation.
  • Experience working with IFRS 17.
  • Knowledge of IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 standards.
  • Project management skills.
  • Data processing tools/software (SQL, Databricks, Python, R and others).
  • Programming: Visual Basic.
  • Economic fundamentals.
  • Long-term projections through construction of cash flows.
  • Power BI.
  • IFRS 17.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
