DWDM Transmission Analyst – Mid-level
Brasil TecParAnalista de Transmissão DWDM responsible for implementing and activating optical networks. Seeking a candidate with experience in DWDM technologies for remote projects.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute deployments, activations and expansions of DWDM networks in metro, backbone and DCI environments.
- Perform configuration, commissioning and testing of optical equipment (transponders, muxponders, FOADM, OADM, ROADMs and amplifiers).
- Conduct optical testing and link validation (power, OSNR, spectrum, OTDR).
- Support analysis of technical designs, network diagrams and optical maps, as well as registration in the relevant tools.
- Troubleshoot issues during deployments and scheduled maintenance windows.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for technical alignment and execution of activities.
- Prepare technical documentation, deployment reports and as-built records.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Telecommunications Engineering/Technologist, Electrical Engineering, Computer Networks or related fields (completed or in progress).
- Hands-on experience with DWDM networks and optical technologies.
- Knowledge of ROADM architectures and Flex Grid concepts.
- Experience with DWDM equipment from vendors such as Nokia, Huawei, Ciena, Infinera, Padtec, ZTE or similar.
- Knowledge of OTN and Ethernet transport, optical modules, patch cords and connector polishing.
- Experience with optical measurement tools (OTDR, OSA, power meter).
- Ability to interpret technical projects and network diagrams.
