About the role
- Dive into low-level product data and collaborate with engineering to improve it over time
- Produce aggregate, reporting-ready datasets using dbt or similar tools
- Develop and maintain business metrics, definitions, and analytical frameworks for consistent measurement
- Produce high-quality documentation for Data Science, product teams, and stakeholders
- Work directly with business analysts to ensure adoption and usage of data assets
- Support ad-hoc analysis requests and improve reusable data assets from findings
- Collaborate with Data Platform and Data Science teams to iterate on tooling and consumption workflows
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or related analytical field
- 2–4 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or analytics-focused roles
- Advanced SQL skills (joins, window functions, CTEs, analytical queries on large datasets)
- Hands-on experience with dbt or similar SQL-based modeling platforms
- Strong grasp of data modeling concepts (fact/dimension tables, star/snowflake schemas)
- Familiarity with modern cloud data warehouses (Iceberg, Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
- Experience creating and maintaining KPIs, metrics, dashboards, or reports in BI tools
- Comfort with git/GitHub and collaborative workflows for analytics code
- Understanding of data quality principles, testing methodologies, and validation techniques
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
- Bonus: Background in the ad tech industry
- Bonus: Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Presto/Trino, dbt, Spark, AWS, and GitHub
- Bonus: dbt Analytics Engineer Certification (or equivalent experience)
- Bonus: Deep experience with a modern BI tool (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Superset)
- Bonus: Programming experience in Python or R for analytics
- Bonus: Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Airflow
