About the role
- Own design end-to-end: Lead projects autonomously from PRD to engineer handoff — user flows, wireframes, hi-fi mockups, prototypes, usability testing, and design QA
- Design for acquisition, activation, and retention: Own onboarding, monetization, and referral experiences that help users understand Branch's value quickly and turn them into advocates
- Experiment rapidly with data-informed iteration: Work in quick cycles — test hypotheses, ship experiments, define KPIs, and iterate based on A/B results, funnel analysis, and user behavior patterns
- Deeply understand our customers: Collaborate with UX Researchers on foundational and formative research
- Partner cross-functionally: Work with Product Managers, Engineers, User Researchers, and Marketers to drive growth initiatives from concept to launch
- Communicate clearly across globally distributed teams
- Leverage AI to accelerate your work: Use AI tools fluently — for ideation, prototyping, content generation, and building functional demos
- Strengthen our design system: Contribute to our design system's evolution — ensuring consistency and scalability across products and markets
Requirements
- 3+ years of product design experience with shipped consumer products — fintech or mobile-first apps strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to design simple, intuitive experiences at scale across diverse user contexts
- Experience with Android and Web design patterns for consumer-facing products
- Growth Design Track record designing for growth: onboarding, conversion-focused features, referral mechanics, and user education
- Experience with experimentation — running A/B tests, interpreting results, and iterating based on learnings
- Familiarity with growth metrics and funnel thinking (acquisition, activation, retention, referral, revenue)
- Proficiency in Figma
- Strong visual design skills with excellent attention to detail
- Motion design and micro-interaction skills are a plus
- Actively use AI tools and LLMs to augment ideation, copywriting, asset generation, or research synthesis
- Comfortable vibe-coding with tools like Figma Make, Lovable, Cursor, or similar to prototype functional experiences
- Curious about emerging AI capabilities in design workflows
- You balance craft with velocity — knowing when to polish and when to ship
- Strong communication skills; you present clearly and listen well
- Comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities in a fast-paced startup
- Resourceful and scrappy — you've done a lot with lean teams
