About the role
- Oversee and optimize the recovery operations.
- Develop and implement strategic recovery plans.
- Lead a team of recovery specialists, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as legal, finance, and customer service.
- Communicate with customers regarding outstanding accounts, negotiating payment plans and settlements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in recovery services, collections, or a related financial operations role.
- Proven experience managing teams and driving performance in a recovery or collections environment.
- Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing debt recovery and collections in the United States.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline (preferred).
- Experience with recovery management software and data analytics tools (preferred).
- Certification in credit and collections management (e.g., Certified Credit and Collection Professional) (preferred).
- Experience working in a regulated industry such as banking, insurance, or healthcare (preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to lead change management initiatives and process improvements (preferred).
