Manage projects installing BK Vibro hardware and software at customer sites in the Oil & Gas, Power Generation, and other process industries.
“Hands-on” site commissioning work for new installed systems, and maintenance of existing systems (loop checks, transducer installations/check-out, and system configurations/upgrades).
Provide technical guidance to mechanical and electrical trade labor.
Instruct product related training courses to customer.
Mechanical designs for proximity probe transducer installation (machine modification and bracket designs).
Complete installation/project documentation.
Monitor site safety during project execution.
Ensure service jobs are executed in accordance within budget, and in a timely manner within customer’s schedule.
Understand contractual commitments.
Use critical thinking to identify and resolve potential installation/configuration problems.
Assist Sales team with identifying proper instrumentation application and service scope for potential sales opportunities, including customer visits and machine walk-downs.
Assist Tech Support responding to external and internal customer’s inquiries on Product Application.
Requirements
Bacherlor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Over 5 years of experience in installing, commissioning and maintaining Vibration Protection and Diagnostic Condition Monitoring Systems in both the Oil & Gas and Power Generation Industry.
Electronics and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
“Hands-on approach”.
Willing to travel up to 60%, and work significant over-time.
Possess a valid passport, or able to obtain.
Vibration CAT II (or equivalent) certified is desirable.
Knowledge of configuring computer servers, and understand general network architectures is desirable.
Experience using AutoCAD.
Fluent in written and spoken English, further language skills desirable.
Knowledge of machinist tools and electrical trade is desirable.
Minimal Physical Requirements: Lift minimum 50 lbs.; Stand for long periods; Stoop and crawl in and around machinery while working with hand tools; Climb Ladders 20 feet high; Climb several flights of stairs while carrying equipment up to 20 lbs.; Work drug-free on a job site, including any prescription narcotic painkillers; Work up to six straight days, with 12-hour shifts; Work up to 18 days in a 3-week period; Travel in a plane on a flight up to 12 hours non-stop.
