About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver high-quality valuation, financial modeling, and transaction-related services to a wide variety of clients
  • Identify critical valuation issues and solve problems efficiently by researching, proposing, and executing relevant strategies
  • Stay current on business and economic developments relevant to business valuation and specific industries
  • Review third-party appraisals for audit support purposes
  • Assist with business development and collaborate with other BPM practices to build cross-functional relationships
  • Maintain positive and productive client relationships
  • Enhance client services through effective use of technology, tools, staff utilization, and project management
  • Provide responsive and efficient service as part of a high-performing team
  • Support remote-first operations, paperless workflows, digital collaboration tools, and recycling initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, applied mathematics, or similar degree required
  • Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience in business valuation at a valuation, consulting, accounting, or investment banking firm
  • Significant progress toward or achievement of CFA, ASA, CPA, and/or CVA considered a plus
  • Strong foundation in financial valuation requirements for fair value analyses under financial reporting requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required
  • Experience with Crystal Ball and advanced analytical tools preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong business and financial statement analysis skills
  • Solid understanding of capital markets
  • Client and staff management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and growth mindset
  • Understanding of derivatives and advanced modeling techniques for life sciences and technology companies strongly preferred
  • Candidates located in the San Francisco Bay Area or Southern California preferred
