About the role
- Oversee the work of Associates and bookkeepers and mentor teammates
- Assist with client onboarding and system implementations
- Handle complex accounting tasks and perform in-depth financial analysis
- Partner with stakeholders to lead globalization efforts across US and Bengaluru teams
- Schedule team tasks, delegate work, and understand engagement economics
- Serve as bridge between clients and other team members, building rapport
- Utilize and adapt to accounting systems like QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Sage Intacct
- Demonstrate proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially advanced Excel
- Complete yearly BPM Learning Plans and lead trainings as SME
Requirements
- BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management
- Active CPA license or educational credentials to sit for CPA exam or Masters degree in business/accounting (exceptions discussed)
- Minimum 5 years' experience in public accounting and/or industry accounting function
- Experience with data conversions, interfaces/integrations, reporting and customization within various ERP systems
- Experience using QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, NetSuite and/or other accounting platforms; certifications like QuickBooks ProAdvisor, Sage Intacct or NetSuite are a plus but optional
- Working knowledge of Bill.com, Expensify, Ramp and/or Concur is a plus
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to synthesize research into clear, actionable deliverables
- Knowledge of GAAP preferred; deep understanding of accrual accounting required
- Demonstrated leadership experience and willingness to teach others
- Ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously
