About the role
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Resource Management Specialists across Tax and Advisory.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Set performance goals and conduct performance evaluations.
- Partner with practice group leaders to forecast staffing needs based on pipeline and business priorities.
- Develop and maintain workforce plans that align with seasonal cycles and strategic initiatives.
- Monitor utilization, availability, and productivity metrics to inform staffing decisions.
- Oversee daily scheduling and deployment of professionals to client engagements.
- Resolve conflicts in resource allocation and escalate issues as needed.
- Ensure compliance with firm policies, licensing requirements, and engagement needs.
- Analyze resource data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for optimization.
- Provide regular reports and insights to leadership on utilization, capacity, and staffing effectiveness.
- Leverage technology and tools to enhance visibility and decision-making.
- Serve as a key liaison between Operations, HR, Talent Development, and practice group leadership.
- Support onboarding and integration of new hires into the resourcing process and technology.
- Collaborate on initiatives related to career development and mobility.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in resource management, workforce planning, or operations within professional services.
- Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, facilitation, project management, and change management skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in resource management tools (e.g., Retain, XCM/Workflow a plus)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
