About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a primary client contact and manage multiple client account programs and teams
  • Secure strategic press coverage in national and regional TV and online publications
  • Maintain relationships with fashion directors, editors, stylists, bloggers, influencers, VIPs, managers, publicists and agents
  • Plan, develop and advise clients on integrated, measurable PR initiatives and strategies
  • Track key milestones, client timelines, projects and budgets to keep work on schedule and on budget
  • Secure product placement and dressing for celebrity press appearances, movies, festivals and red-carpet events
  • Generate creative ideas and solutions for client challenges
  • Proactively pitch and secure editorial opportunities and create media buzz around product launches
  • Conduct proactive press interaction and nurture relationships with editors across channels
  • Fulfill client and stylist requests on time and in a value-producing manner
  • Manage specialty events, including guest lists, client management, budgets, VIP outreach and press coverage
  • Write press releases and manage event materials, RSVPs and media alerts
  • Brainstorm creative partnership and activation ideas for clients
  • Work with the Assistant Account Executive on editorial reports, press tracking and budgetary documents
  • Collaborate with the Senior Account Executive and Account Supervisor on client timelines and budgets

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • B.A. and 3–5 years of PR agency experience working on publicity campaigns with top Fashion, Consumer/Lifestyle brands
  • MUST HAVE AGENCY EXPERIENCE IN LUXURY BRAND PR
  • Preferred experience in womenswear, menswear and accessories
  • Superior press release and pitch writing, communication and presentation skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills; ability to develop rapport with clients
  • Ability to align press initiatives with brand/client business goals
  • Expertise maintaining ongoing relationships within the media and entertainment industry
  • Advanced presentation skills and ability to manage and gain client confidence
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Familiarity with Fashion GPS preferred
