About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, coach, and develop a diverse, high‑performing regional sales team
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Plan and execute sales strategies across direct and indirect channels to deliver profitable growth of premium products and services
- Build and maintain strong, trust‑based relationships with key customers, distributors, and strategic partners
- Actively manage, develop, and grow existing and prospective accounts and partnerships to maximize mutual value creation
- Translate regional and sector strategies into actionable channel and account plans
- Drive distributor performance and volume growth
- Strengthen sales capabilities by delivering regular coaching on value selling, prospecting, negotiation, and solution‑based selling
- Own sales forecasting and pipeline management
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, the Code of Compliance, and all relevant legal and regulatory requirements
- Represent the region at country level, collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders and contributing to the broader business strategy
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; an advanced degree is an advantage
- Proven experience leading sales teams across large, diverse, and international geographies
- Strong experience within the marine sector; background in shipping, oil & gas, or adjacent industries is highly desirable
- Deep understanding of marine markets, customer segments, and competitive dynamics
- Demonstrated ability to inspire, develop, and retain diverse teams through effective coaching and talent development
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering sustainable results and improving customer profitability
- Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders
- Fluency in English; additional languages and relevant local language skills are a plus
