About the role
- Provide expert technical guidance via our technical helpdesk to customers, distributors, and internal interested parties understanding their challenges and recommending appropriate Castrol Industrial lubricant products & solutions.
- Conduct value selling activities, collaborating with sales teams in the field to develop and close new business.
- Ensure seamless execution of the customer promise, from initial consultation to solution delivery and ongoing service and support.
- Actively listen to customer feedback and translate technical needs into actionable insights for product development and product improvement.
- Maintain comprehensive application and product knowledge, effectively communicating the benefits and features of our lubricant portfolio and recommending products that provide value to both customer and BP-Castrol.
- Drive offer execution and growth initiatives, contributing to the expansion of Castrol lubricant market share.
- Cultivate and maintain strong partner relationships, encouraging collaboration and improving mutual success.
- Coach and train internal teams and distributors on technical aspects of Industrial lubricants and application guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field – Mechanical, Chemical, Lubrication, Manufacturing, or other related engineering focus.
- Experience of 2-4+ years in technical/engineering role, preferably in our core markets or related Industrial manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated strong technical acumen, with the ability to understand a large variety of customer field applications and make product & solution recommendations that drive value.
- Excellent value selling skills, with a track record of identifying needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Strong commitment to customer promise execution and delivering exceptional service.
- Proficient communication and customer service skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers, address inquiries clearly, and build positive trust‑based relationships.
- Experience with offers and product knowledge within the Industrial lubricants industry is preferred.
- Awareness of relevant Industrial market segment requirements is preferred.
- Excellent computer application skills, including MS Office, Outlook, Windows and generally high efficiency with computing applications and typing skills.
- Ability to travel, up to 50% of the time.
