About the role
- Draft legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, and contracts
- Manage discovery, including organizing, reviewing, and producing documents
- Obtain, review, and summarize medical records, bills, and other key case materials
- Support attorneys with trial preparation and attend hearings or trials as needed
- Conduct legal research and summarize findings
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and calendars
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and experts
- Track and record billable hours in accordance with firm guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role (insurance defense preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of court and administrative proceedings
- Familiarity with lawsuit summaries, litigation files, and legal record maintenance
- Proficiency in administrative tasks
- Works well in a team environment
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
- Must meet billing goal expectations.
