About the role
- Conduct thermal research, design, and engineering projects
- Prepare technical proposals for research funding
- Support collaborative relationships between industry and academic partners
- Conduct theoretical thermal and mechanical analyses
- Collaborate with colleagues to solve multidisciplinary technical challenges
Requirements
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or related fields
- Strong foundation in heat transfer modes
- Familiarity with research publications in the field
- Hands on work in a heat transfer research or test lab
- A strong understanding of fundamental physics of heat transfer
- Familiarity with heat transfer experimental methods and instrumentation
- Familiarity with modeling and conducting CFD simulations
- Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage several projects and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of electronics cooling applications is desirable
