About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support legal case teams as a Legal Administrative Assistant / Legal Secretary
- Prepare legal documents and correspondence
- File documents in state and federal courts
- Prepare binders for attorneys and judges
- Manage documents and emails in iManage according to firm policy

- Schedule meetings and calendar commitments

- Arrange travel and process expense reports
- Process client disbursements and accounts payable invoices
- Organize and maintain case files
- Assist team members with broader administrative needs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Prepare legal documents and correspondence
- File documents in state and federal courts
- Prepare binders for attorneys and judges
- Create and save documents and emails to iManage in accordance with firm policy
- Experience obtaining documents from online court directories
- Schedule meetings and other calendar commitments
- Calendar legal due dates in CompuLaw
- Make travel arrangements and process expense reports
- Process client disbursements and AP invoices
- Organize and maintain case files
- Support overall Bowman and Brooke administrative needs by assisting team members where needed
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
- Exceptional computer skills
- Ability to work overtime when the need arises
- Heavy computer use
- Minimum of 5+ years of legal experience required
- Civil Litigation experience required
- Knowledge of New York and New Jersey rules and procedures preferred
- Demonstrated employment stability
