About the role
- Evaluate existing energy contracts and assess renewable energy opportunities such as solar adoption.
- Recommend actionable strategies to improve in-center energy efficiency through operational and management best practices.
- Review and verify electricity, gas, and water rates to ensure billing accuracy and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Monitor market trends and utility rate structures across regions.
- Evaluate the feasibility of solar installations and other renewable options.
- Conduct facility energy audits to identify inefficiencies in systems.
- Recommend and help implement operational changes to lower energy consumption.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Energy Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5 years of experience in energy consulting, facility management, or sustainability roles.
- Strong understanding of utility rate structures, renewable energy programs, and building operations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, energy benchmarking tools (e.g., ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager), and financial modeling.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and vendor management skills.
