About the role
- Support project teams in managing construction project technical aspects
- Process shop drawings, document control, RFIs, submittals, and change management
- Assist project staff in coordination, scheduling, quantity surveying, and reporting functions
- Work with Project Manager to establish cost reporting and tracking systems
- Manage drawings, drawing records, revisions, and effectively communicate with trades
- Take notes and issue meeting minutes for applicable meetings
- Assist with preparation of bid packages and procurement
- Manage submittal process, review, and distribution
- Ensure operation and maintenance manuals are completed according to standards
- Assist field personnel in managing quality control
- Monitor and enforce safety standards in conjunction with project team
- Review shop drawings and submittals for value analysis and constructability
- Research construction problems and perform work sampling
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or other relevant degree
- 1-5 years project engineering experience with a general contractor
- Commercial Construction industry experience preferred
- Proficiency in project management software (Procore, etc.) and standard business software (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)
