About the role

  • Lead front-end & back-end development teams in application development
  • Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle
  • Create effectively tested, re-usable, and efficient JavaScript code
  • Develop mission-critical user experiences
  • Work collaboratively with a team in an Agile environment
  • Lead from the front, guiding teams to the completion of successful projects
  • Mentor junior developers to ensure talent pool growth
  • Promote and enforce key information security practices and assess security risks
  • Understand and ensure data protection measures and compliance with GDPR, CCPA, etc.

Requirements

  • 2- or 4-year degree in CS/Engineering, be a bootcamp grad, or be self-taught with practical experience
  • 7+ years of professional programming experience
  • 3+ years of professional hands-on React.js development experience
  • Team lead experience
  • Experience with popular React.js workflows such as Redux or Relay
  • Experience with other JavaScript frameworks (AngularJS, Vue.js) is a plus
  • Knowledge of modern web technologies: CSS, Typescript/ES6, Less/Sass, HTML5
  • Experience developing to inclusive design best practices, up to and beyond meeting WCAG standards
  • Experience writing unit tests with Jest/Enzyme or equivalent tools
  • Familiarity with Git
  • Experience working in an agile environment (Scrum preferred) as part of a cross-functional team
  • 2-3 years of experience on Architecture / Cloud, preferably on AWS
  • Strong communication skills
  • Consulting background & stakeholder management experience
