About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and execute complex, high-stakes analyses, including deep-dive investigations, statistical modelling, and multi-source data problems
Guide and unblock the team on query optimization, data modeling, messy datasets, and difficult edge cases
Write advanced, performant SQL against large and complex datasets
Build and maintain robust data models and pipelines with Data Engineering
Apply statistical methods including experimentation/A-B testing, regression, cohort analysis, and trend analysis
Design and build dashboards and reporting frameworks
Set and enforce technical standards for code review, data quality, analytical rigor, and documentation
Mentor analysts through hands-on collaboration on difficult problems
Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical approaches
Present complex findings to senior stakeholders
Own the technical roadmap for analytics tools, data models, and processes
Promote and enforce information security practices
Identify, assess, and report security risks
Evaluate data storage, processing, and transmission for privacy and protection compliance
Integrate data protection measures throughout the information lifecycle

Requirements

What you’ll need

9+ years of hands-on data analysis experience with complex, high-volume datasets
2+ years leading or mentoring analysts on technically difficult work
Expert-level SQL, including window functions, query optimization, and large/messy schemas
Experience with cloud data warehouse/lakehouse platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks
Solid grounding in statistics, including experimentation design, hypothesis testing, and regression
Experience with a BI/visualization tool such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI
Ability to independently solve ambiguous, multi-layered data problems end to end
Ability to communicate complex technical findings clearly to senior, non-technical stakeholders
