About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Obtain and maintain all required state, local, and municipal licenses and permits necessary for Bounce to conduct debt recovery operations across its operating footprint.
  • Complete and submit new, renewal, amendment, and surrender filings across all jurisdictions, including via NMLS where applicable.
  • Conduct licensing and regulatory research to assess jurisdiction requirements and monitor changes in applicable law.
  • Maintain an organized licensing system, including certificate tracking, expiration monitoring, and regulatory correspondence.
  • Coordinate with executive officers and relevant stakeholders on fingerprinting, background checks, and other requirements tied to license filings.
  • Support compliance monitoring activities and assist in documenting and communicating results to management.
  • Assist with annual report filings, surety bond management, and other administrative compliance tasks as assigned.
  • Participate in state examinations and regulatory audits, as needed.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2-3 years of experience in a licensing, compliance, or legal role; exposure to debt collections, debt recovery, or financial services preferred.
  • Familiarity with debt collection licensing requirements and relevant regulations (FDCPA, FCRA, TCPA) is a strong plus.
  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience with NMLS or similar regulatory filing systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
