About the role
- Assist with the preparation of the monthly financial close process, including preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux analyses in accordance with close calendar timelines
- Prepare and maintain prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accrued expense, and depreciation/amortization schedules
- Record cash transactions and reconcile bank accounts on a monthly basis
- Administer the company credit card program in Ramp
- Review expense reimbursements and credit card expenses and verify adherence to the travel & expense policy
- Assist with the preparation of misc. tax, informational, and compliance related filings
- Assist in support of external audit, including preparation of audit requests and ongoing support
- Pursue process improvement and automation of existing processes
- Assist with implementing, maintaining, and documenting internal accounting processes and internal controls
- Participate in ad hoc projects as needed
- Report to the Accounting Manager and work closely with other members of the finance team and key stakeholders across the organization to help drive growth and financial success.
Requirements
- 2-6 years of progressive experience in accounting roles
- BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
- Experience working with NetSuite, FloQast, AvaTax, Ramp, Bill.com or similar systems
- Solid understanding of accounting concepts, familiarity with accounting system(s) and general operational processes
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of financial record-keeping procedures
- Ability to multitask and prioritize to meet deadlines
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong team player, with a willingness to assist and learn from colleagues
