Key responsibilities & impact

Lead case strategy and handle files independently including pleadings, discovery, depositions, and court appearances.
Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, and other court filings with attention to detail and accuracy.
Maintain strong communication with clients and claims professionals.
Accurately track billable hours and ensure proper invoicing.
Serve as a mentor for junior attorneys and paralegals.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Must be currently barred in New York.
A minimum of five to eight years of experience in litigation, must include insurance defense.
Demonstrated ability to handle high-volume caseloads with autonomy.
Experience appearing for mediation, arbitration, settlement conferences.
Trial experience (second chair trial experience considered).
Proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and court filings with detail and accuracy.
Experience conducting training or supervising junior attorneys.
