About the role
- Manage insurance coverage and/or defense litigation matters, including bad faith claims, from inception through resolution
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents with a high level of precision and advocacy
- Take and defend depositions, including experts and key parties, and represent clients in hearings and motion practice in state and federal courts
- Provide trial support, including strategy development, witness preparation, and trial execution
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategy, assess risk, and deliver practical legal solutions
- Communicate directly with clients, providing updates, legal advice, and strategic guidance while fostering strong relationships
- Stay current on developments in insurance coverage and defense litigation, incorporating industry trends into case strategy
Requirements
- At least 2+ years of experience in insurance coverage and/or defense litigation
- Strong academic credentials with excellent research and writing skills
- Experience with case management, drafting pleadings, and handling motions and depositions
- Admitted and in good standing in California (additional jurisdictions a plus)
