Key responsibilities & impact

Align technology solutions with business strategies
Proactively identify opportunities to apply technology to business processes
Inform and advise customers on information-system functionality, costs, benefits, and implementation requirements
Act as technical liaison and broker of services with various vendors
Provide technical guidance or business-process expertise on complex projects
Research strategic planning matters from technical or business perspectives
Integrate work at a high level within the Applications Analyst job family and in-depth within technical and clinical areas
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with customer management and IT personnel
Understand business problems, IT strategies, issues, and priorities
Apply technology to improve business processes within strategic system goals

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate's degree or equivalent combination of formal education and experience
At least 2+ years of relevant experience in business systems analysis or business-unit experience working closely with IT on system development and implementation
Experience in business process re-engineering or process improvement is desirable
Experience with the strategic use of technology in managing and growing a business
Experience organizing, planning, and executing projects from vision through implementation with internal personnel, contractors, and vendors
HL7 knowledge is a plus
Knowledge of the assigned business area's products and processes
Strong technical knowledge and ability to explain complex technical concepts to business stakeholders
Understanding of project management concepts and experience planning and implementing multiple projects in a cross-functional environment
Strong written communication, project documentation, and technical writing skills
Strong verbal communication skills when interacting with IT teams, end users, and other departments
Strong analytical and conceptual skills, including new concept development for complex technical plans
Ability to solve problems spanning multiple environments
Understanding of how IT affects an organization and ability to link it to redesigned business processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Active Epic Resolute Hospital Billing Administration Certification required; SBO preferred
Must complete a background check before employment
Must be vaccinated against COVID-19 and flu and receive a COVID-19 booster dose
