About the role

  • Develop detailed mechanical designs, layouts, assemblies, and drawings using SolidWorks and other CAD tools.
  • Create and maintain engineering drawings, 3D models, bills of materials (BOMs), and technical documentation in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers, systems engineers, and project teams to translate engineering concepts into manufacturable designs.
  • Support design reviews, configuration management, and change control processes.
  • Incorporate design updates based on testing results, field feedback, or evolving project requirements.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Interface with vendors and manufacturing teams to support fabrication, assembly, and installation activities as needed.

Requirements

  • Active Q Clearance
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Designer or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and CAD-based mechanical design.
  • Experience creating detailed fabrication and assembly drawings.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical design principles, tolerances, and material selection.
  • Ability to work effectively in a secure, highly regulated environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Previous Laser Enrichment Experience is preferred.
