About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the overall day-to-day operation and business at the location
- Manage hiring, scheduling, training, and performance of Team Members
- Ensure safety procedures and OSHA policies are followed
- Maintain financial performance and profit and loss statement
- Manage all aspects of the hiring process, including interviewing, sourcing, selection, offers, drug screening, and onboarding
- Conduct performance evaluations, daily safety meetings, coaching, corrective action, and payroll approval
- Ensure employee training, shop and sales-floor cleanliness, dress-code compliance, and customer service
- Manage product and equipment inventories, weekly inventory counts, and daily tire counts
- Ensure service equipment is maintained and invoices are reconciled daily
- Review work orders and service tickets for accuracy and resolve escalated customer, personnel, and mechanical problems
- Prepare weekly shop schedules while controlling overtime and labor costs
- Conduct monthly shop training meetings and communicate pricing promotions and policy changes
- Evaluate and communicate return-job problems to Corporate office and update national accounts weekly
- Work alongside Team Members on the shop and sales floors
- Maintain current LMS training and ensure assigned Team Member training is completed
- Directly supervise 5 or more employees
- Assist with other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current valid driver's license and ability to be insured to drive
- Ability to obtain DOT, TIA, and other certifications
- Basic keyboarding skills
- Basic understanding of computer operations
- Must work a minimum of 50 hours per week
- Able to work weekends, holidays, and as needed
- Reliable transportation and phone
- Must be able to communicate in English
- Able and willing to deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service
- Able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.
- Physical attendance at the primary work location is required
