About the role

  • Theoretical instruction is provided 2–3 times per month at FOM University of Applied Sciences Dortmund — typically one weekday evening plus Friday evening and a full day on Saturday of the same week
  • On the remaining days you will actively work with our team and quickly take on responsibilities and independent tasks and topic areas
  • Contribute to the further development and implementation of the brand identity
  • Apply and ensure adherence to corporate design guidelines in day-to-day operations
  • Create, coordinate and follow up on briefings and projects
  • Support project and campaign management
  • Act as an interface between Brand Management, internal departments and external agencies
  • Contribute to project management
  • Support brandings, projects and larger brand initiatives
  • Prepare and maintain brand presentations, messaging and marketing plans
  • Research and analyze brand-relevant topics
  • Produce, evaluate and derive needs from market research and other analyses
  • Develop strategic action and decision-making foundations (brand strategy, go-to-market plans, target groups & fan types)

Requirements

  • A successfully completed bachelor's degree with at least 40 ECTS in business/economics, or a university degree in another field plus 18 months of professional experience before, during or after the first degree with a relevant connection to the master's program
  • Initial professional experience in brand management and knowledge of project management
  • Basic knowledge in brand, brand communication and design
  • Strong creative and conceptual thinking skills
  • Ideally cross-media know-how (from print to motion design) and a good sense for target-group–appropriate communication and trends
  • Ideally basic knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Strong interpersonal skills and enjoyment of working in a team
  • High commitment, ambition and passion, coupled with a warm and authentic presence
  • Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
  • Affinity for football, ideally a preference for Borussia Dortmund
