About the role
- Conceptualize new in-house formats for the target group aged 14–23 and for international markets (cross-platform and cross-channel)
- Develop new formats for partners in close coordination with sponsorship/partnership management — including creative guiding concepts, activation plans and success measurement
- Independently plan and execute new and existing events, activations, programs and experiences — from idea to budget/timing and on-site implementation
- Full responsibility for the season opener: guiding concept, program design, partner and stakeholder integration, production and operational execution
- Agency management: briefing, coordination and quality control of external agencies and service providers (creative, production, technical)
- Plan and implement the matchday program: editorial preparation, channel management (stadium, app, web, social, hospitality), live execution and quality control on matchdays
- Represent the team lead in their absence — including prioritization, coordination with stakeholders and decision-making authority
Requirements
- Completed degree or vocational training (e.g., marketing, communications, sports/event management, service/experience design) or equivalent qualification
- Several years of experience at agencies or in-house in brand/customer experience, event/experience development, service/experience design or program/project management — ideally within sports, entertainment or brand environments
- You combine strong brand understanding, concept development skills and operational excellence in on-site execution
- Practical experience developing target-group-specific formats offline and digitally (especially Gen Z) and adapting formats for international markets
- Confident in editorial planning, channel management and live matchday production
- Strong affinity for football, in particular Borussia Dortmund and its traditions
- Excellent communication skills in German and English; persuasive stakeholder and agency management
- High willingness to work on matchdays, evenings and weekends
Benefits
- Personal employee ticket for our home matches
- Tailored measures for professional and personal development
- Complimentary gym membership and support for a healthy work routine
- Additional benefits such as flexible working hours, company bike leasing, team events, staff bistro, pension plan, etc.
