About the role

  • Take on a central role in the technical implementation of modern digital health solutions
  • Plan and implement web applications based on our PHP/JavaScript/TypeScript stack
  • Model and implement REST APIs and database schemas
  • Develop high-performance, maintainable backend and frontend components
  • Implement UI designs using modern frontend technologies
  • Write automated tests and ensure high code quality
  • Contribute to the further development of our development standards
  • Evaluate new technologies and optimize processes, tools, and workflows

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a software developer, software engineer, or software architect—ideally with experience in the healthcare sector or familiarity with ISO 13485/IEC 62304
  • Strong backend development skills with PHP and frameworks such as Symfony (or comparable alternatives)
  • Experience designing, modeling, and implementing RESTful APIs
  • Confident handling of database models and ORMs (e.g., Doctrine)
  • Competence in frontend development with JavaScript/TypeScript and CSS, and practical experience with modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries such as Vue, React, or Angular
  • Routine in writing automated tests using PHPUnit or Vitest
  • Experience developing and operating applications with Docker containers and in Linux-based system environments
  • Ideally, additional experience with TypeScript on Node.js and frameworks such as NestJS
  • Desirable, but not required: experience implementing Figma designs using Tailwind CSS
  • Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), strong communication skills, team spirit, and willingness to actively share knowledge
  • Business-fluent German and English
