About the role
- Plan and implement web applications based on our PHP/JavaScript/TypeScript stack.
- Model and implement REST APIs and database schemas.
- Develop performant, maintainable backend and frontend components.
- Implement UI designs using modern frontend technologies.
- Write automated tests and ensure high code quality.
- Contribute to the further development of our engineering standards.
- Evaluate new technologies and optimize processes, tools, and workflows.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a software developer, software engineer or software architect — ideally in the healthcare sector or with experience in ISO 13485/IEC 62304 (preferred).
- Strong experience in backend development with PHP and frameworks such as Symfony (or comparable alternatives).
- Experience in modelling, designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
- Proficient with database modelling and ORMs (e.g. Doctrine).
- Skills in frontend development with JavaScript/TypeScript and CSS, and practical experience with modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries such as Vue, React or Angular.
- Routine in writing automated tests with PHPUnit or Vitest.
- Experience developing and operating applications using Docker containers and Linux-based environments.
- Ideally, additional experience with TypeScript on Node.js and frameworks like NestJS.
- Desirable, but not required: experience implementing Figma designs using Tailwind CSS.
- Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), strong communication skills, team spirit and willingness to actively share knowledge.
- Fluent German and English.
- Availability 32–40 hours per week.
