About the role

  • Planning and implementation of web applications based on our PHP/JavaScript/TypeScript stack.
  • Modeling and implementation of REST APIs as well as database structures.
  • Development of high-performance, maintainable backend and frontend components.
  • Implementing UI designs using modern frontend technologies.
  • Writing automated tests and ensuring high code quality.
  • Contributing to the further development of our development standards.
  • Evaluating new technologies and optimizing processes, tools & workflows.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience as a software developer, software engineer or software architect (m/f/d) — ideally in the healthcare sector or with experience in ISO 13485/IEC 62304 (desirable).
  • Strong knowledge of backend development with PHP and frameworks such as Symfony (or comparable alternatives).
  • Experience in modeling, designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
  • Confident handling of database models and ORMs (e.g., Doctrine).
  • Competence in frontend development with JavaScript/TypeScript and CSS, and practical experience with modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries such as Vue, React or Angular.
  • Routine in writing automated tests with PHPUnit or Vitest.
  • Experience developing and operating applications with Docker containers and in Linux-based environments.
  • Ideally additional knowledge of TypeScript on Node.js and frameworks like NestJS.
  • Experience implementing Figma designs using Tailwind CSS is a plus but not required.
  • Experience with agile methods (Scrum/Kanban), strong communication skills, team spirit and willingness to actively share knowledge.
  • Fluent German and English.
  • Availability 32–40 hours per week.
