About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive business growth across key equipment and asset finance markets
  • Develop new business opportunities and nurture broker relationships
  • Support customers, brokers, and introducers across South Australia and Tasmania
  • Identify opportunities and structure finance solutions
  • Guide transactions through the lending process from origination to settlement
  • Work closely with brokers, equipment suppliers, customers, credit, operations, banking teams, and internal stakeholders
  • Deliver exceptional customer outcomes and seamless service
  • Manage a portfolio autonomously
  • Represent the BOQ Finance brand in market
  • Attend industry events
  • Proactively identify opportunities to grow regional market share
  • Travel interstate to Tasmania approximately 10% of the time
  • Maintain focus on risk, compliance, and responsible lending practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience within equipment and asset finance
  • Strong background in equipment and asset finance
  • Hands-on experience structuring transactions
  • Experience navigating credit requirements
  • Understanding of the commercial equipment finance market
  • Understanding of commercial lending and credit processes
  • Knowledge of asset finance products
  • Strong business development capability
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to manage competing priorities
  • Customer-focused and commercially minded
  • Ability to build long-term broker, customer, supplier, and stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to comply with risk, compliance, responsible lending, and Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing obligations
